Manage Blog Subscribers

In this guide, we will walk you through how to manage your blog subscribers list in HubSpot.

Applies to: All products and plans

If you are updating your blog on a regular basis, you can set up blog subscription notifications to be sent instantly, daily, weekly, or monthly via email.

A list of subscribed contacts will be created automatically for each notification email that is sent, to determine the recipients of the emails.

These blog notification recipient lists use the [Your Blog] Email Subscription property. You can manage a contact's list membership by adding criteria to your lists or editing their value for this property.

Note: For each blog, a contact can only be subscribed to a single notification cadence. For example, a contact could be subscribed to daily and monthly notifications for two separate blogs, but not daily and monthly notifications for the same blog.

Edit a Blog Subscription List:

When you create a blog subscription notification email, a corresponding list of subscribers will automatically be created. Its default name will be [Subscription] Subscribers - [Your Blog]. This list is filtered for all contacts with a [Your Blog] Email Subscription value of the frequency (instantly/daily/weekly/monthly) of that blog subscription notification email.

You cannot edit or remove a blog subscription list's [Your Blog] Email Subscription filter, but you can add additional criteria.

  1. Navigate to Contacts > Lists in your top menu.
  2. Enter "subscribers" in the search bar and then click the name of your list.
  3. To add more restrictions for list membership, click AND and add filters. To add more options for contacts to be added to the list, click OR and add more filters.
  4. Click Save on the top right side of the page.

Edit a Contact's Blog Subscription:

To edit a contact's notification frequency from their contact record, edit the [Your Blog] Email Subscription property. To edit the frequency for multiple contacts, change the [Your Blog] Email Subscription property with a bulk edit or import.

  1. Navigate to Contacts > Contacts.
  2. Click the name of the contact.
  3. In the About section of the contact record, click View all properties.
  4. Enter "email subscription" into the search bar, click on the [Your Blog] Email Subscription dropdown menu, and select a subscription frequency. You can select the blank value to remove their blog subscription.
  5. On the bottom left side of the page, click Save.
